The right care for your SUP and e-Fin
Board maintenance:
During the season
To keep the board in good condition for longer, es wash it with a garden hose after each use. Always Es that the valve (on iSUPs) is closed when doing so.
If the dirt does not come off immediately, a mild cleaning agent or soapy water can be used. Mud tends to accumulate around the fin box and leash attachment in particular. These areas should be checked additionally and cleaned if necessary.
After the season
- First clean the board with fresh water and a (mild) cleaning agent. A brush with soft bristles is also very suitable for this.
- The board can then be sealed with a suitable care product. Care products, as well as cleaning agents, should not be used in direct sunlight.
- Allow to dry thoroughly!
- Before es , check that all areas are dry to prevent mildew and mold.
- Store the board slightly inflated in a dry, cool, but frost-free room. Either with a ceiling or wall mount or slightly rolled up in a SUP board bag.
Maintenance of e-Fin:
During the season
Before each charging session, ensure that the charging port is free of debris, clean, and dry. Otherwise, the magnetic connector may not e-Fin properly to the e-Fin , es a short circuit that could damage the electronics in the charging port.

After using the e-Fin salt water, es is es important to rinse it thoroughly with fresh water immediately afterwards. Over time, salt water can corrode the gold coating on the charging pins, which will make charging more difficult. Sand and small stones can get stuck in the gearbox, which in the worst case can block the motor. For this reason, the e-Fin should e-Fin be used with great care on sandy beaches.

If seaweed or similar debris has become entangled in the propeller, it is essential to remove these foreign objects before the next trip:
1. Ensure that the fin is turned off. This means that the fin must NOT be in the water and must NOT be charged.
2. Carefully remove the propeller guard.
3. Open the propeller screw with an Allen key.
4. Remove the propeller and any foreign objects.
5. Put everything back together.

Detailed video instructions on this topic can es found es our video tutorials entitled "Lesson 5_ Maintenance & Carrying."
After the season
Before storing, the e-Fin should be charged e-Fin 50% to prevent deep discharge of the batteries. Ideally, the fin should then be stored in a dry and cool place (not below 4 degrees Celsius).
