Our e-Fin .0 can be easily attached to kayaks, canoes, inflatable canoes, etc. with a standard fin mount. If your kayak does not have such a mount, you can alternatively use our practical adhesive dock. Important: This only works if your kayak has a smooth, continuous surface on the underside—unfortunately, installation is not possible on textured or uneven surfaces.

All other boards/kayaks are unfavorable for radio transmission or even impervious to radio waves, depending on the material they are made of. Technology e-longboard

In Germany, the use of electric longboards, as with regular skateboards and longboards, is currently only permitted in areas not subject to traffic regulations and on private property. Legalization at the legislative level is currently in progress.

Other countries have different regulations. You should take these into account before making a purchase.

What happens to my board if I fall or jump off? 

The electronics detect when a rider moves away from the board. As soon as a distance of 2-3 meters is exceeded, the board rolls away.

The urethane rollers can be replaced quickly and easily. Replacement rollers in different colors and sizes are es our shop. The motor does NOT need to be replaced.

Of course! However, this will halve the range and power, and the e-axle may overheat more quickly due to the increased load. An additional controller can be purchased for the second deck. 

We generally recommend riding with two e-axles. A single e-axle would only be suitable for children or light adults weighing up to approx. 45 kg. 

As long as the rider is supported by the board, they can es ride es with our e-axles. Only the range, maximum speed, and flexibility may be affected.

Battery information 

Not with the battery technology currently in use (Li-Ion). This myth dates back to the days of Ni-Cd batteries. Completely discharging the battery before charging it actually reduces its service life. "Conditioning" the battery does not work either. If it is defective, the only solution is to replace it.
If you try not to completely discharge the battery, but only down to about 30%, you can gain up to 3 times more cycles. The battery should be stored at about 50% charge in a cool and, above all, dry place. The refrigerator is therefore only suitable to a limited extent.
A charging cycle describes charging from 0 to 100%. Charging from 80% to 100% is therefore NOT a full charging cycle. Charging twice from 50% to 100% is, however, one charging cycle.
A lithium-ion battery loses capacity over time simply due to age. In addition, the number of charging cycles also affects performance. The battery contains a membrane, which wears out during charging and discharging. Similarly, the electrodes are worn down by chemical processes.
It indicates how much energy can be stored in the battery. If the capacity is halved, the possible working time of the fin is also halved. More capacity often also means a larger and heavier battery.
This is specified in ampere hours (Ah), i.e., how much charge can be drawn from the battery per hour. At the same voltage, the capacity can be increased by connecting several cells in parallel. Both the voltage (V) and the current (A) are relevant for the resulting runtime of the device.
If you have taken care to store the batteries of your e-Fin .0 at room temperature and protect them from low temperatures, there is nothing to prevent you from using them in your water sports equipment. Since lithium-ion batteries have no memory effect, you can recharge them regardless of their current charge status. They will not be damaged and will not lose any capacity.
When you charge your battery at moderate temperatures while es is below freezing es , the battery management system (BMS) monitors the charging process. Es not only Es self-discharge, but also detects potential risks to the cells, such as the danger of overcharging. When the battery reaches 100 percent, only the trickle charge is activated – so further "continuous charging" does not bring you any advantages, but rather dangers and unnecessary electricity costs. The greatest danger is an electrical fire, which can be caused by a defect in the socket or charger. You should therefore disconnect the battery from the charger in good time and only check the charge status after about three months. If necessary, you can then recharge it.
Of course, you can also ride the e-Fin .0 in winter – just follow these tips to avoid damaging the battery. Be sure to charge the battery at room temperature beforehand; around 20 degrees Celsius is ideal. Es also Es only attach the battery when you are ready to set off. After your ride, you should remove the battery immediately. Also, remember to store it at room temperature before recharging it.
Store the battery out of the reach of children and pets.
DO NOT store the battery near heat sources such as an oven or heater.
DO NOT leave the battery inside a vehicle on hot days. The ideal storage temperature is 22°C – 28°C.
Disconnect the charger when es in use.
DO NOT store the battery fully charged or fully discharged for long periods of time. If you do not plan to use the e-Fin .0 within the next 4 weeks, make sure that the charge level is between 25% and 75%. Otherwise, the service life and performance may be reduced.
Many harmful factors are prevented by the battery electronics, including deep discharge, overcharging, or excessive temperatures during charging/discharging. The protective circuit intervenes in these situations.
Avoid impacts that could damage the battery membrane, or storing it in very warm places (car in summer).
Damaged or suspected damaged batteries must not be charged under any circumstances. Damaged chargers must also no longer be used. Contact your dealer to discuss how to proceed.
Modern devices primarily use Li-ion batteries (lithium-ion batteries), which are characterized by their high energy density and low self-discharge. These batteries are particularly light and compact, which means they are still ready for use even after prolonged storage. Thanks to numerous safety precautions, such as electronic circuits and mechanical protective measures, the risk associated with their use is minimal.

The electric longboard axles are below the maximum permitted nominal energy of 100 Wh per device (single axle) and can therefore theoretically be carried in hand luggage. 

However, we have found that flight safety authorities occasionally arbitrarily refuse to allow devices with built-in lithium batteries to be carried on board, even if es is permitted es the regulations. 

The electric fin exceeds the maximum permissible rated energy and may NOT be carried on passenger aircraft.

Important to know: The battery has a minimum service life of 500 charging cycles. After that, the battery is not broken, but gradually loses its full capacity.
