Technology e-Fin

Our e-Fin 2.0 can be easily attached to kayaks/canoes/air canoes etc. with a standard fin mount. If your kayak does not have such a mount, you can alternatively use our practical adhesive dock. Important: This only works if your kayak has a smooth, continuous surface on the underside - unfortunately, mounting is not possible on textured or uneven surfaces.

Our tip: Take a close look at the underside of your kayak before you buy - or send us a photo, we'll be happy to help you!

No. Inflatable water sports equipment has the best riding characteristics. All other boards / kayaks are unfavorable or even impermeable depending on the material properties. Especially boards with carbon content. These are completely radio-impermeable.
Depending on the handling characteristics of the water sports equipment and the rider's weight, the e-Fin 2.0 can accelerate up to 8 km/h.
Unfortunately, no. Only the thrust is increased when starting off, as a huge amount of energy would be required to reach the fuselage speed in order to accelerate.
Es there are navigation bans and prohibitions on various bodies of water. Familiarize yourself with the local laws and pay attention to bathing areas and other zones closed to water sports. To protect the charging port of your fin from corrosion etc., especially in salt water, we recommend using the charging port cover supplied. Rinse the fin with fresh water after EVERY use and rub the charging ports dry.

If you wish to cancel your order, please send an e-mail as soon as possible to [email protected] stating your order number. As long as the order has not yet been packed, we can cancel it. After the order has been successfully canceled, you will receive an info mail and we will refund your payment immediately.

If your shipment has already been prepared for dispatch, we are unfortunately unable to cancel the order. You can make use of your right of withdrawal within 14 days after you have received the goods and return the goods to us.

Technology e-Longboard

In Germany, the operation of electric longboards, as with regular skateboards and longboards, is currently only allowed in areas free of traffic regulations and on private property. Legalization at the legislative level is currently in progress.

Other countries have different regulations. You should take these into account before buying.

What happens to my board if I fall or bounce? 

The electronics detect if a rider moves away from the board. As soon as a distance of 2-3 meters is exceeded, the board rolls out.

The urethane castors can be changed quickly and easily. Replacement castors in different colors and sizes are available in our store at es . The motor does NOT need to be replaced.

Of course! However, the range and power are then halved and the e-axis can overheat faster due to the heavier load. For the second deck, another controller can be purchased. 

In principle, we recommend driving the e-axles in pairs. Only for children or light adults up to about 45 kilos a single e-axis would be conceivable. 

As long as the rider is carried by the board, they can also ride es with our e-axles. Only the range, maximum speed and flexibility may suffer.

Battery information 

Not with the battery technology currently in use (Li-Ion). This myth dates back to the days of Ni-Cd batteries. Discharging the battery completely before charging actually damages its durability. Even "conditioning" the battery does not work. If it is defective, the only solution is to replace it.
If you try not to discharge the battery completely, but only to approx. 30%, you can gain up to three times more cycles. The battery should be stored at approx. 50% charge in a cool and above all dry place. The refrigerator is therefore only suitable to a limited extent.
A charging cycle describes charging from 0 to 100%. Charging from 80% to 100% is therefore NOT a complete charging cycle. Charging twice from 50% to 100% is again a charging cycle.
A lithium-ion battery loses capacity due to its age. The number of charging cycles also affects performance. There is a membrane in the battery, which is worn out by charging and discharging. The electrodes are also worn down by chemical processes
It indicates how much energy can be stored in the battery. If the capacity is halved, the possible working time of the fin is also halved. More capacity often also means a larger and heavier battery.
This is stated in ampere hours (Ah), i.e. how much charge can be drawn from the battery per hour. With the same voltage, the capacity can be increased by connecting several cells in parallel. Both the voltage (V) and the current (A) are relevant for the resulting runtime of the device.
If you have taken care to store the rechargeable batteries of your e-Fin 2.0 at room temperature and prevent them from reaching too low temperatures, nothing stands in the way of using them on your water sports equipment. As lithium-ion batteries do not have a memory effect, you can charge the batteries regardless of their current charge level. They are not damaged and do not lose capacity.
If you charge your battery at moderate temperatures while es is below zero degrees outside, the battery management system (BMS) ensures that the charging process is monitored. Es not only checks the self-discharge, but also detects potential risks to the cells, such as the risk of overcharging. When the battery reaches 100 percent, only trickle charging is activated - further "continuous charging" therefore brings you no benefits, but rather dangers and unnecessary electricity costs. The greatest danger is an electrical fire, which can be caused by a fault in the socket or the charger. You should therefore disconnect the battery from the charger in good time and only check the charge status after around three months. If necessary, you can then recharge it.
Of course, you can also ride the e-Fin 2.0 in winter - please note the following instructions to avoid damaging the battery. Always charge the battery at room temperature beforehand; temperatures of around 20 degrees are good. Es also recommends that you only attach the battery when you are ready to set off. After the ride, you should remove the battery immediately. Also remember to store it at room temperature before charging it again.
To prevent battery death, our battery is equipped with an intelligent battery management system (BMS). This constantly checks the voltage in the battery cells - and automatically switches to a resting state if the voltage is too low: further discharge is stopped, but is still present to a small extent. For this reason, es recommends only storing Li batteries with a charge level of 30 to 60 percent, even in the cold season: your batteries will feel well prepared.
Store the battery out of the reach of children and pets.
DO NOT store the battery near heat sources such as a stove or heater.
DO NOT leave the battery inside a vehicle on hot days. The ideal storage temperature is 22°C - 28°C.
Disconnect the charger when es is not in use.
DO NOT store the battery fully charged or discharged for a longer period of time. If you do not plan to use the e-Fin 2.0 within the next 4 weeks, make sure that the charge level is between 25% and 75%. Otherwise, the service life and performance may be reduced.
Many harmful factors are prevented by the battery electronics, including deep discharge, overcharging or excessively high temperatures during charging/discharging. The protective circuit intervenes in these situations.
Avoid impacts that damage the battery membrane or storage in very warm places (car in summer).
Damaged or presumably damaged batteries must not be recharged under any circumstances. Damaged chargers must also no longer be used. Contact your dealer to discuss the next steps.
Modern devices primarily use Li-ion batteries (lithium-ion batteries), which are characterized by their high energy density and low self-discharge. These batteries are particularly light and compact, which means they are still ready for use even after long periods of storage. Thanks to numerous safety precautions, such as electronic circuits and mechanical protective measures, the risk during use is minimal.

The electric longboard axles are under the maximum allowed nominal energy of 100 Wh / device (single axle) and therefore theoretically allowed to be carried in hand luggage.

However, in our experience, flight safety sometimes arbitrarily refuses to allow devices with built-in lithium batteries to be carried, even if es is permitted by regulation. 

The electric fin exceeds the maximum allowable rated energy and must NOT be carried in the passenger aircraft.

Unfortunately, no. To ensure the full tightness of the e-Fin, we have to grout the entire inner cavity with a compaction measure. 

Important to know: The battery has a minimum life of 500 charging cycles. After that, the battery is not broken, but gradually loses its full capacity.

We can only guarantee you a full refund if all items are returned in the same condition they were in when they were delivered. The items must not be damaged, soiled, altered or driven.

If items are still returned, the purchase amount will not be refunded and we will send the items back to you. Please also note our return period of 14 days. Outside the return period, we can not take back the items.

You can return your order within 14 days after you have received it. It is important that the products are unused and returned in the same condition in which you received them.
